Almost all the variants of the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet device have already received the latest version of Android from Samsung, that is version 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The users of the Note 10.1 GT- N8020 (LTE+WiFi), however, were left with Android 4.1.1 firmware update for a long time. Finally, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade has hit the LTE+WiFi variant. The update can be availed via Samsung Kies and Over-the-Air. Keep an eye on Kies or check for the update manually directly on your device from Settings> About> Software Update because it might take you by surprise anytime. If you want to upgrade the firmware through Kies: Open Kies -> Select Tools -> Select Firmware Upgrade and Initialization -> Enter Model “GT-N8020”.
The 4.1.2 Jelly Bean available for the Note 10.1 N8020 users in Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Australia, Poland and South Africa right now and it will soon be making its way to other countries too. If you have not got the update notification yet or if you do not belong to any of the countries listed above, you can still update the unbranded firmware on your non-carrier branded Note 10.1 N8020.
The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update brings a lot of new features and improvements to your Galaxy Note 10. Since the official changelog is not available yet, we shall update the post with a complete feature list later.
