It has not been long since Google pushed Jelly Bean 4.2 update to the International unlocked Galaxy Nexus (maguro) and it definitely didn’t took any further time to discover the “December bug“. The Nexus 4, 7 & 10 already received the 4.2.1 update and now the table turn towards the Galaxy Nexus when Google introduced the Jelly Bean 4.2.1 ( (Build: JOP40D) update for the GSM Galaxy Nexus I9250, “December bug” is all what this update majorly covers up and fixes, along with that, it does pushes its hand towards fixing the Bluetooth issues too. But unfortunately the update still doesn’t bring any fixes for battery drain, random reboots and several other performance related issues. We hope to see them in the upcoming updates for sure.
The update is already available in several countries to the users via Over-The-Air (OTA) update system but if in any case you are not lucky enough for the OTA update notifications, you can easily flash the factory image for the same. You shall follow this simple guide to flash the 4.2.1 factory image on your Galaxy Nexus (maguro).
