Today, we have 15 Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite wallpapers in Full HD+ quality with 1080 x 2160 px resolution. Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition, a stripped down Mi 8 with new stock wallpapers. Xiaomi launched the Mi 8 Youth Edition and the Mi 8 Fingerprint Edition in China a week ago on a fine Wednesday. At the same event, the Chinese company also launched the Mi Notebook Youth Edition which was also a downgraded Mi Notebook and a Mi alarm clock.
Specs
The Mi 8 Lite or Mi 8 Youth Edition packs in a Snapdragon 660 instead of the Snapdragon 845 that was in the Mi 8. The Snapdragon 660 brings with it the Adreno 512 GPU. The Fingerprint Edition simply removes the fingerprint from the back of the phone, as was the case with the Mi 8, and puts it under a pressure sensitive display. Other than that the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Fingerprint Edition are quite the same.
Mi 8 Youth Edition also gets downgrades in the camera department in comparison. The rear camera includes a 12MP SONY IMX363 primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and secondary 5MP sensor with LED flash. On the software side, the camera supports AI dual capture, portrait mode, etc.
The front of the phone houses a 24MP SONY IMX576 selfie shooter in the notch at the top. It comes with features like AI background blur, AI scene recognition, AI smart beauty 6.0 and AI scene recognition. The notch cuts into a 6.26-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 19:9 aspect ratio. Everything here is powered by a 3550 mAh battery.
The base variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage while the top variant comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s also a variant that sits between the two with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It runs on MIUI 9.6 based on Android Oreo which would be negative, considering Android Pie is out now. But then, Xiaomi is always usually a year behind the current Android version so it’s not surprising.
