Android 7.0 Nougat will bring a series of interesting features to Sony’s Z lineup which includes the likes of Xperia Z5, Z4 Tablet, Z3+, some of the most important being multi-window option, a more organized notification system as well as improved security.
Rumor has it that Sony is preparing their next series of smartphones to receive a software update to Android 7.0 Nougat after they’ve updated the Xperia Z5 Performance. The previously mentioned devices have reportedly received regulatory certifications from PTCRB under the issued number of 32.3.A.0.372.
PTCRB is a forum of device operators which issues certifications for telecommunication bands across North America. Judging by the recently acquired certification, Sony is set to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update to devices in a few weeks.
Sony’s Xperia Z series is expecting to increase in terms of sales as it will receive the anticipated update as their main competitors have already rolled it out. This step will be a giant step forward for the Japanese tech giant as it will bring their premium lineup of devices up high in the already competitive market as they have a series of interesting features that sets them apart.
Not only does the Nougat update will improve the Z series’ functionality but Sony has also issued some interesting series to bear in mind including manual shutter speed and ISO control for their devices who sport an amazing 23 megapixel snapper. Another tweak is the addition of the anticipated STAMINA battery power optimization which will lead to better functionality, stability and an overall better battery life to the devices.
Sony has announced that other devices which are in line to receive this update are their Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra. Having announced this massive lineup of devices Sony is sure to rank up high in 2017 when it comes to smartphone sales as the competition is as fierce as ever.
We can only wait and see how the Japanese tech giant will respond to their competitors’ new lineup of devices but judging to their already high user base and amazing camera features that Sony is renowned for they are sure to have an amazing year.
