It has been a long time since Sony release any new software update for its older Xperia range of handsets. A new list of certified firmwares by Sony for the 2011 Xperia phones has just popped up at the network certification portal PTCRB. The new firmware with version number 4.1.B.1.13 is most probably the new version of Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich that will soon be rolled out to all Xperia phones launched by the manufacturer in the year 2011. While it is a good news for the owners of 2011 Xperia phones, the Sony Xperia does not seem to get the Ice Cream Sandwich update as anticipated.
The news of the Android 4.04 Ice Cream Sandwich is almost confirmed but we do not have any clue yet what new features except those associated with ICS will the new update bring to these phones.
