Hurry is the latest app on the Google Play Store that has been developed by the Sam Ruston who is also the developer of famous apps like Weather Timeline, a weather information app and Flamingo which is a Twitter client for Android. The biggest aspect from all the apps that have been developed by Sam Ruston is its user interface and the design of the app and its functionality. This app, similar to the other apps developed by Sam Ruston has a minimalistic design and it is totally different from all the other apps that have been found on the Google Play Store. The weather timeline app which is available in the paid form on the Google Play Store also got the Material Design award from Google in 2015 for its design.
Here, we are going to talk about the latest application which has been published by this developed on the Google Play Store. This app has been named Hurry and is available for free to download. This app is based on the concept of setting reminders for the important events so that we do not miss out on the events that are scheduled later. Once we add an event in the app, there will be a countdown for the event inside the app and we will get notified whenever the event is about to start.
Now, whenever you first open the app, you will see a blank screen with a message that says no event has been added yet. In order to add an event, you will have to click on the + icon that is placed at the bottom of the screen as seen in the above screenshot.

After clicking on the + icon to add an event, you will see a section where you will be able to add the event for setting the countdown. In this section, you will see options to name the event and set the date and time for when the event is scheduled other than what the event actually is. Apart from that, there is also an option to select the photos from the internet or your own photos or select none to set no photos in the photos option.
The application lets you select the event category from various options like Concert, Wedding, Holiday, Birthday etc.
Then, it will prompt to select the date of the event and the time of the event from the Date and Time selector.
The app, as mentioned above lets you select photos from the phone’s gallery or we can choose the photos from the Web
After adding the reminder, the event will be added to the home screen of the app and the countdown can be seen in the app as well.
Apart from the functionality inside the app, Hurry also has some widgets that can be placed on the home screen to see the events that have been added in the app without opening the app. The widgets also show the countdown of the event in terms of days left for the event to occur. The widgets that are available for the app can be seen from the screenshot attached down below

For the the reminder apps. I use Remind Me app. The App focuses on these basic tasks with a very decent idea that if a person is able to manage these simple tasks properly then there’s no room for other tasks to get left behind.
Thanks for sharing your observation about the app, Ahmad! We would try to review ‘Remind me’ or at least include in our list. You can write a review of the app yourself too and we can publish here. 🙂
