Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 model GT-P5110 received the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update about a month ago. The update roll out began from the United Kingdom and brought a number of improvements and features to the device. And now the younger avatar this popular tablet device the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113 is spotted getting the Jelly Bean update. This time, the Android 4.1.1 software update has arrived for those in the US and you can grab it Over-the-Air or via the Samsung Kies.
The Android 4.1.1 OTA update is available for the Wi-Fi only variant of the tablet and bears the build number JRO03C. The size of the update is about 300 MB. Though there is no official changelog available yet describing the new features brought by it but it is an open secret now what we can expect from it, such as smoother TouchWiz UI (thanks to the Project Butter), Google Now, new Notification Panel, Blocking Mode, Play Movies app and a few other enhancements.
If you not yet received the update check for it on Kies: Open Kies -> Select Tools -> Select Firmware Upgrade and Initialization -> Enter Model “GT-I9300” . Alternatively, you can also check for the OTA update on your very device: Settings> About device> Software update.
