Samsung began the official Jelly Bean update roll out for the Galaxy S3 and its variants back in November. The update started with Android 4.1.1 being pushed to this popular phone and was shortly followed by the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. At a time when most Galaxy S3 users have upgraded their phone firmware to Android 4.3, there are still millions who are left behind and still waiting to get the official OTA update.
Here we have some complete firmwares (Android 4.3 Jelly Bean) for the Galaxy S3 users in Canada who have got their phones from specific network providers, such as Telus, Rogers, Bell, and SaskTel. If you have an SGS3 from any of these carriers and have not yet updated your device to Android 4.3, you can download the full official firmware and install it manually on your phone.
The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is definitely a significant update as it brings a lot of new features and improvements to your phone. To get a complete overview of the new features brought be this update, please click here.

(Since the 4.1 firmwares have been deleted and no more available currently, we have added the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware for the Galaxy S3 I747M.)
How to Install Android 4.1.1 Firmware on Samsung Galaxy S3: Link
Can you please provide a new link for these firmwares?
Hi the 4.1 firmwares have been removed at the moment, so we have replaced the links with the latest Android 4.3 firmwares at the moment. When we get links to the older ones, we’d update the post again. Thanks!
Hi I just want to make sure that openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-d2can.img is the appropriate file for BELL’s SGH-1747M. PLease let me know. I was trying to install CWM first but noticed my model isn’t supported so I decided to look into TWRP.
It should work on the Bell variant.
Did you try this?- http://droidviews.com/2013/root-install-cwm-recovery-on-sprintt-mobileattrogers-galaxy-s3/
Or this: http://droidviews.com/2013/root-samsung-galaxy-s3-sgh-i747m-on-android-4-1-1-jelly-bean-firmware/
After rooting, download ROM Manager from Play Store and install CWM via it.
Should I take the risk of trying TWRP? I did try using ROM Manager but they only had Samsung Galaxy S3 (MetroPC?, i think) available. So I wasn’t sure if I should have used that one.
I can try the other link you gave me…. will it work for sure? I just don’t want to brick my device.
I believe so. It should work on all LTE US and Canadian variants.
Okay I’ll give it a try. And should all AT&T custom roms work on the canadian carriers?
I just installed TWRP. Works fine! 🙂 I will try flashing some roms later on. Thx.

Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-I747M
thanks
Yes. Here it is: http://droidviews.com/2013/install-android-4-2-photo-sphere-camera-and-gallery-apps-on-your-samsung-galaxy-phone/
E:signature verification failed 🙁
Are you trying to install with a custom Recovery like CWM or TWRP? Such error occurs in two cases- either you are installing via Android System Recovery or the zip you downloaded is corrupt. Try to redownload the file and to check if it is corrupt or not, extract it on your computer.
ist the CF-Auto-Root-d2can-d2vl-sghi747m.zip that you give me the link ,and the the file is camera42_patched_v2.zip is not corrupt i check it on my computer and its ok
Then you phone is only rooted. It does not have a custom recovery. Do this:
The fastest and easiest way to install TWRP is to use the GooManager app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.s0up.goomanager
http://goo.im/devs/s0updev/gooinsideme
1) Install GooManager app
2) Open GooManager and provide root permissions
3) Hit Menu (or the button with the 3 dots on your screen) and then Install OpenRecovery
then boot into recovery, tap on “Install” and flash the zip. Let me know if you encounter any issue.
