At a time when Xiaomi users have been eagerly waiting for the MIUI 11 update, we’ve another great news! Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 in India today which would go on sale from October 16. A fresh tweet from the company’s Indian Twitter page now confirms that the Redmi Note 8 Pro would be launching next week. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is one of the most anticipated devices in the Indian market.
The Chinese startup has managed to amass a massive fanbase in the country by offering some of the best value for money devices. Speaking of value for money, the upcoming Note 8 Pro comes with a powerful MediaTek processor โ โ the Helio G90T. It would be the only new Xiaomi smartphone launched globally to feature a MediaTek chipset.

Note 8 Pro Specifications
The Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with FullHD+ resolution. It has a max brightness of 500 nits.ย We do have high hopes for the new chipset on the device since MediaTek claims the Helio G90T is a gaming-oriented CPU. This CPU would be paired with 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM options with 64GB and 128GB storage variants respectively.
Under the hood, we get a respectable 4,500mAh battery. We do expect the device to deliver at least a full day of battery life with moderate to heavy usage. It would also support 18W fast-charging, however, we’ll have to wait and see if Xiaomi includes the 18W fast charger in the box.
The device has a quad-camera setup towards the rear of the device. This consists of a 64 MP, f/1.9 Primary Sensor + 8 MP, f/2.2, Ultra Wide-Angle Lens + 2 MP, f/2.4, Macro Lens + 2 MP, f/2.4, Depth Sensor. On the front, there is a 20 MP, f/2.0, Selfie camera.
Note 8 Pro Pricing in India
Xiaomi has not revealed the pricing details of the Redmi Note 8 Pro for the Indian market. However, the device is priced at 1,399 yuan in China which roughly translates to Rs. 14,000 ($200). After taxes and import duties, the Redmi Note 8 Pro might launch at around Rs. 15,000 in India.
