Though the popular Indian teleservice providers like Airtel and JIO support VoWiFi, major smartphone brands of the country are yet to support the feature. Well, the scene is changing. Voice over WiFi is now finding its way into various Android smartphones. Currently, Realme X2 Pro is receiving a software update that brings along the VoWiFi feature. Also, the device is receiving the January 2020 security patch.
The latest software patch comes with version number RMX1931EX_11.A.09. It fixes the issue of video not uploading to Instagram. Additionally, like any other previous updates, the current one brings system stability for Realme X2 Pro. As of now, the Indian variant of the smartphone is getting stepped up to the A.09 build.
Realme follows a staged rollout of its software. The latest software build is no exception to this. So, all the X2 Pro users may not receive the software update right away. Randomly a few users may receive the update currently. In the next few days, the software should broadly release for the public.
If you are eager to install the update right away, then check for it manually. Go to the Settings app on your Realme smartphone and in the System Update tab search for the latest A.09 build. If you want to download the update fast and free, then use a stable Wi-Fi network.
With VoWiFi Realme X2 Pro users can have better connectivity. They won’t have to pay for calls and roaming. This feature is quite popular in both the consumer and business domains. Instead of sending voice packets over a paid tele-carrier bandwidth, it can be done over an open Wi-Fi network.
Recently, ASUS Zenfone 6 received the VoWiFI feature in India. We can hope that in 2020 more smartphone brands will begin to support this cool feature.
