Realme has confirmed the use of MediaTek Helio G70 on the Realme C3. This makes the Realme C3 the world’s first smartphone to use the new MediaTek SoC. While no other detail is yet available for the device, the revelation of the SoC will give us few expectations for the ultra-budget handset.
MediaTek advertises its new Helio G70 as “great gaming with HyperEngine power”. It’s one of their budget processors that can handle mobile gaming. It incorporates a pair of ARM Cortex-A75 CPUs operating up to 2GHz alongside the six 1.7GHz ARM Cortex-A55 CPUs in a single octa-core cluster. The graphics processor is an ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 operating up to 820MHz. This should give the realme C3 a very good performance for gaming.
Helio G70 also now supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, although being budget, we expect at least 3GB on the C3. The storage support remains eMMC 5.1, that means it will be at least 32GB. The MediaTek G70 also has a modem that supports dual 4G VoLTE (300Mbps downlink) and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity, so we also expect this on the Realme C3.
Imaging-wise, the realme C3 will have two rear-facing cameras. Although the Helio G70 supports up to 48MP sensor, we expect the C3 to have a standard 13MP sensor with f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP depth sensor configuration. On the front, it’ll be hard guess. But a 5MP or 8MP sensor is huge possibility.
Finally, Realme teased that the Realme C3 will feature a high-density 5,000mAh battery. This is an upgrade from the 4,000mAh on the Realme C2. This should give the device an edge over other budget smartphones which barely has 4,00mAh battery.
The Realme C3 will launch on 6th of February, 12:30PM local Indian time. Global launch is not yet available, but should come soon. For more expected specifications, see the list below.
