OnePlus launched its first device back in 2014. Ever since, the company has grown into a market leader in the mid-range – premium market. All of their success can be linked back to their community-driven approach. Although the company sells its products in multiple markets, it has managed to rapidly expand its fanbase in India. In order to solidify its position in the Indian market as a “customer first” company, OnePlus has launched a benefits program called OnePlus Care. It’s a set of various benefits plans designed to give back to the OnePlus community for their love & support.
I recently got a OnePlus 7T. So, I thought of giving the OnePlus Care program a try. And, guess what? It’s awesome. Well, that’s the short version. With that said, here’s a detailed overview of the OnePlus Care program & the benefits you get with it.
1. 1-Year Extended Warranty Plan
One of the best benefits coming from the OnePlus Care program is the one extra year of warranty; completely free of cost. Before we tell you how to claim the extended warranty, it’s important to know which phones are eligible for this program. Well, the OnePlus 6T, 7, 7 Pro, 7T & any other future devices are eligible for this program. In order to claim this benefit, your phone must be under the original warranty offered by OnePlus.
Of all the phones mentioned above, if you have a OnePlus 6T, then you must claim this benefit as soon as possible before the official warranty expires.
Next, how to claim the benefit? Simple, the first step is to download the free OnePlus Care app from the Google play store. Once that’s done, log into the app with your OnePlus account. Next, enter your phone’s IMEI number along with the purchase details. The information is necessary for OnePlus to analyze whether your device is eligible for the claim or not. Depending on the device, you might require to verify if your phone is in working condition. The app does this by giving you a set of tasks to perform & check the functioning of your phone’s hardware. Once your phone is fully diagnosed, your warranty will be extended by one year.
2. Battery Replacement Plan
The battery replacement plan is another big offering under the OnePlus Care program. This is especially useful for old OnePlus users. Under this benefit, the company is slashing the battery replacement prices by more than 50%. The phones eligible for this program are the OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, 5T & 6.
To avail the offer, you’ll need to install the app & register your device. Once done, you’ll have to book an appointment for the repair of the battery using the app. Next, select a service center near your location along with a preferred time slot. The repair guy will come to your home & offer you a hassle-free service. However, keep in mind that this benefit is only applicable if you book a repair visit using the app. If you go to the service center without making a booking, you’ll have to pay the full price.
3. Upgrade Plan
Possibly the biggest benefit coming from the OnePlus Care program – upgrade or buyback plan. Under this, you can exchange your old OnePlus device for a new one at a competitive price. Other than that, you’ll get some additional monetary benefits depending on your smartphone. This benefit is applicable to all OnePlus devices, starting from the OnePlus one all the way to OnePlus 7 Pro.
In order to avail this benefit, you’ll need to fully diagnose your phone using the OnePlus Care app. Once done, you’ll get a price quote & then you can exchange your current OnePlus device in exchange for the latest one.
Wrap Up
OnePlus care app is an amazing benefits program offered by OnePlus to its customers. The offers enlisted are simply awesome. Moreover, OnePlus says that they are working on adding even more fantastic offers in the near future. All these steps taken by the company to provide the best service to their customers, along with the high-quality products they create will surely help them form a loyal user base. All the plans offered are exceptional and, if you are a OnePlus user, you can surely take advantage of them.
