OnePlus tried to rebrand their position in the market from being just a flagship killer to a Flagship with the 7 Pro. It has almost all the features you would see in a Flagship device if not more! From Snapdragon 855 to Triple Camera set up, it has everything you would want in your device! OnePlus 7 Pro also has 90 Hz Display which no other mainstream smartphone offers in the current market! Let me break down everything you need to know about the Oneplus 7 Pro!
OnePlus 7 Pro Specifications
Display
OnePlus 7 Pro is packed with a 6.7-inch display which stretches to the corners and the edges of the screen. It’s the first device to support 90Hz Display which is not focused only on gaming. The 7 Pro supports Fluid Amoled display which enhances the look and feel of the device on 90 Hz.ย It’s also the first OnePlus device to come with QuadHD display. OnePlus 7 Pro also scored A+ on the Display Mate rating, however, all the other Flagship models of Apple and Samsung have scored similarly in the Display Mate testing.

Camera
Oneplus has focused a lot on the camera this time with the OnePlus 7 Pro. It supports triple camera setup with a wide lens, super-wide lens and a telephoto lens. The primary camera comes with 48 MP camera, 7P lens setup and F/1.6 aperture. It also supports optical image stabilization! The super-wide camera supports a wide-angle lens which allows up to 117% field of view. It has an aperture of F/2.2. The telephoto lens has 8 MP camera which supports 3x optical zoom at F/2.4. The telephoto lens also supports OIS to improve image quality while in 2/3x zoom. You can also zoom up to 10x manually via digital zoom.
As OP 7 Pro supports the edge to edge display with 93% screen to body ratio, they have introduced the Pop-up selfie camera with Oneplus 7 Pro.
It supports a 16 MP camera and Oneplus claims that they’ve tested the pop-up camera to work even if you use it 50 times a day for next 16 and a half years. Now while I’m being skeptical about the numbers, I personally used the device and the pop-up camera was super solid and responsive. They also showcased the “Cement test” where they picked up the block of cement which weighs over 30 kilograms with just the pop-up camera. It also supports Fall detection which brings the camera inside the phone as soon as it detects fall.
Specifications
OnePlus 7 Pro is the first smartphone in India to support the Snapdragon 855 chipset by Qualcomm. Compared to the previous generation it is 20% more power-efficient. It supports Adreno 640 GPU has 6GB RAM in the base variant. It is offered in three different specifications, namely, 6 + 128GB, 8 + 256GB and 12 + 256GB variant. It is also the first device to support UFS 3.0. It is 79% faster than 2.1 technology which is available in all the Flagship devices in the market right now. They also introduced the liquid cooling system with the Oneplus 7 Pro for gamers and a new Fnatic mode to bring the best gaming experience on the mobile platform.
Battery
OnePlus 7 Pro will continue to support the Warp charger 30 which was introduced with the Oneplus 6T McLaren edition. The new Warp Chargers makes your device go from 0% battery to 48% within 20 minutes. They have also upgraded the battery from 3700 mAh to 4000 mAh for the OnePlus 7 Pro. They claim it to last for more than a day in a single charge and I would somewhat agree to it looking at the specifications.
Pricing
OnePlus has priced the OP 7 Pro extremely competitive starting at 48,999 for the 6+128GB variant which is available only in the Mirror Grey color. The next variant of 8+256GB costs 52,999 which is available in all colors, namely, Mirror Grey, Almond, and Nebula Blue. They also have the maxed out variant of 12+265GB which is only available in Nebula Blue color and costs 57,999 INR. It does look like overpriced when you look at the pricing but if you take a look at the bigger picture I feel it is priced very well. You are getting the edge to edge display, triple camera set up, pop up camera, UFS 3.0 storage and much more at almost two-third of the price compared to other Flagships.
