OnePlus 3T is a device many have adopted and found to their liking since the model has been released to the public. The key to the handset’s success is a combination of great hardware specifications and a pleasant software mash-up between Android 6.0 Marshmallow and OxygenOS. However, if there’s one thing you can be sure of with Android smartphones, it’s that there’s always room for improvement. This is due to the platform’s very versatile nature.
So if you have a OnePlus 3T and want to get a few tips on how you can improve your user experience, check out the rest of this article and the suggestions we have prepared for you.
Change the battery icon on your screen
The device offers users the option of choosing the shape of the battery indicator which lets them know how much battery they have left. This is purely cosmetic, but if smartphones aren’t about looking good, what is? The default option is the shape of a battery but you can change it to a circle by going to your phone’s Settings, and then Battery.
In the top right side you will see the little battery shape which you can tap and then select the circle option. If neither alternative pleases you, you can always go for hiding it completely which is cool if you want to get a more minimalistic interface.
Night Mode
Find yourself using the mobile phone a lot just before bed? You wouldn’t be the first, as it is often the case for people to check their notifications and messages one last time before they go to sleep, and maybe have a last look on their favorite website while they’re at it. If that’s the case, you probably know how annoying the screen’s blue light can be. Not only that but it can scientifically prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep. You can prevent that by turning on Night Mode from your device’s Settings. Navigate to the Display section and play with the Night Mode slider until you get a good position.
Screen tweaks that can drastically improve the display quality
Learning its lesson with the previously released device, OnePlus gave the 3T the ability of letting users tweak the screen settings so that it can better fit their needs. What we mean by this is that you can go to the phone’s Display section under Settings and play around with available options until the screen shows exactly what you want it to show. To be more specific, you can use Screen Calibration and go through multiple templates and settings like default or sRGB. Additionally, there is an Adaptive Brightness feature that you can look into.
Using the OnePlus charger makes a huge difference
You might think that using any compatible charger will suffice when it’s time for your OnePlus 3T to get its juice. However, what you might not know is that OnePlus is using a proprietary technology called Dash charging which allows the device to charge from 0 to 100 in about 75 minutes. You won’t be able to achieve that kind of performance with a generic charger.
Camera enhancers
Not everyone is born with the looks of a movie star, but that doesn’t mean they can’t look good in photos. OnePlus 3T offers multiple tools within its camera app, such as Beauty Mode. With a 16 MP lens backing it app, the Beauty Mode feature can really bring a boost to the quality of your photos thanks to the different effects and fine touches you can apply to it.
