Despite the ups and down of Motorola in the last couple of years, their Moto G series have been greatly appreciated as efficient devices for their respective target audience. As it wouldn’t be a beneficial idea to let go of such a profitable handset line, 2017 will mark the release of the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus.
The devices aren’t out yet, but as we have grown to expect the phone details for Moto G5 have leaked ahead of time. So who dropped the ball? It looks like an online retailer from Romania actually provided detailed imagery of the device alongside with everything you would want to know about it. Let’s take a look at those specs and see what the future of the Moto G line looks like.
Moto G5 specifications:
- OS: Android 7.0 Nougat;
- Display: 1080p FHD 5.5 inch;
- Memory: 32 GB internal storage capacity, 4 GB RAM;

Moto G5 leaked photos:
After seeing what the device looks like, a lot of people identified it as a handset that was sighted a while back. To be more precise, around a week ago there were sightings of a Moto handset which was branded Moto X. It looks like an error was made somewhere and that unit could have potentially been the Moto G5 all along.
By now, you might be wondering when the G5 or G5 Plus for that matter come out. No official release date has been yet pronounced but if some speculations are correct, we might see these two come out sometime in May. This prediction is based on the release of the previous Moto G lineup. Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus came out in that same period last year so Motorola might follow that pattern this time as well.
