Meizu 16 Plus specifications
The Meizu 16 Plus smartphone features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ 18:9 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 which makes up for a not so great pixel density of 374 PPI. The Meizu 16 Plus is powered by the latest and greatest, mighty and powerful flagship grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU along with 8GB of RAM (256GB internal storage) and 8GB/6GB of RAM (128GB internal storage). Unfortunately, a MicroSD card slot is not present in the Meizu 16 Plus for expandable storage.
Photography is handled by a dual camera setup at the rear featuring a 12 MP sensor (f/1.8) (OIS) + 20MP telephoto (f/2.6) accompanied Meizu’s trademark 6LED dual-tone ring flash module. The rear camera can record videos with a resolution of up to 4K @ 30fps. A 20MP snapper (f/2.0) is featured up front and it features auto-HDR and AI enhancements and features.
A decent enough 3,570 mAh battery is onboard the Meizu 16 Plus to keep the lights on. Speaking of which, The Meizu 165 Plus features Meizu’s mCharge 4.0 (24W) to top it up fast in the morning and Charging is done via the USB-C port. Coming to the connectivity side of the Meizu 16 Plus, it has you mostly covered with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE with A2DP, GPS and more. Thankfully, the Meizu 16 Plus retains the good old headphone jack we all love. An under-display fingerprint sensor is available as the only biometric authentication option that can unlock the phone in 0.25s. The Meizu 16 Plus runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based Flyme UI out of the box.
Pricing, availability and color options
As for pricing, in China, the 8/256GB, 8/128GB and 6/128GB Meizu 16 Plus will set you back around CNY4,000/approx. $585, CNY3,500/approx. $510 and CNY3,200/appox. $470 respectively. The Meizu 16 Plus will be available in Black and White. Worldwide availability is yet to be known and confirmed.
