Google Now is an intelligent personal assistant similar to Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana and comes integrated into the Android OS. It’s also available within the Google Search mobile application for Android and iOS, as well as the Google Chrome web browser on personal computers.
This smart virtual assistant program can easily be launched on Android devices by holding down the Home button. Google Now is all about offering contextual information to the user automatically and on demand both. The app organizes all information about weather, flights, traffic, hotels, package tracking, events, nearby attractions, translation, Duolingo, Spotify, stocks, sports, reminders, etc. into simple cards and presents them when we need them.

Enabling ‘OK Google’ Detection on Android
Before you can make use of Google Now commands by speaking them, you’ll have to enable ‘OK Google” detection on your device. To do the same on your Android device,
- Open Settings> Google.
- Then scroll up and tap Search & Now> Voice.
- You can then enable ‘OK Google’ detection.
