A portable mobile printer is in no way a new thing. You might not have forgotten the Polaroid Pogo printer which was released in 2008. And now LG Electronics has come up with it’s Pocket Photo Printer. The Korean company claims that it is the world’s smallest mobile pocket printer that measures in at a mere 2.8 x 4.7 x 0.9 inches.
The Pocket Photo printer prints 2 x 3 inches photos and connects well to an Android device. You can connect it to your Android phone using a USB cable, Bluetooth or NFC (Near Field Communication). But before it requires a companion app to be installed on the phone to establish a connection.
The LG Pocket Photo Printer uses ZINK (Zero Ink) technology to print photos without using any kind of ink. It’s actually a really cool concept. To learn more about this awesome technology head over to the official website. This “tiniest” mobile printer has currently been launched in Korea only and it is available at the price of $170 there. LG, however, has made no mention as to when or at what price it will be released in other countries.
LG Pocket Photo Printer has come at a time when most of us have become more accustomed to digital photographs. How many people will spend a large amount of money to have a portable photo printer with the size of a computer’s hard disk that can print just a password size image? Just wait to find the answer!
