Yes, this is true. The feast is finally being served. Although the rest of the world may not see it until Sep 29, as of today, the final design for the Google Nexus 5 2015 version by LG is here. The device until now has fondly been referred to as the Nexus 5 (2015). One of the earlier rumor images seems to be getting fruit and the following image has been revealed by a trusted source.
It confirms some of the previous leaked images where the device hosted a mounted circular finger-print scanner on the back panel just below the camera lens. Situated on the left of the camera was a dual LED flash & the newly trending laser auto-focus sensor [also found on the newly released Oneplus 2]. Although previously it has been confirmed that the new Nexus 5 shall be priced under USD 400 but if sources are to be believed, the camera performance will be inferior to that of LG G4.
So far as the configuration / specifications of the device go, the following has already been confirmed [more or less]. It shall feature a 5.2 inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 2,700 mAh battery & USB Type C [the future norm]. It is definitely going to be launched on the September 29 Google event in San Francisco along with the official roll-out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow & the Huawei Nexus.
To spice up things further, hereโs another cue as to why the launch of the device is near and imminent. Popular global online retailer Amazon has implemented a price cut on the Nexus 6 which of course means, they are clearing the current stock to make way for the new Nexus devices which could be launched in less than 3 weeks. The Nexus 6 is now available at a price of USD 349.99 for the 32 GB version, USDย 399.99 for the 64 GB version [previously USD 499 and USD 549 respectively].
Note: this image is not the press release of the device, it has been rendered and edited to protect our source.
