The Lenovo Z6 is a slightly watered-down Z6 Pro which is the flagship smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. As in, the vanilla Z6 slots between the mighty Z6 Pro and the diluted Z6 Youth Edition in the Z6 lineup. Speaking of which, the Z6 features the same FHD+ Super AMOLED panel of its big brother and also look identical. There are quite a few differences to which you will see in the specifications below.

Technically speaking, the only thing that’s carried over from the Z6 Pro is the HDR 10 compliant Super AMOLED panel. Whatever it may be, AMOLEDs are hard to beat and no other display tech comes close as of now, all thanks to Samsung. Well, there is a very very high-quality IPS LCD that comes quite close, yes the one fitted to an iPhone. Regardless, AMOLEDs are in a league of their own (burn-in and brightness degradation aside). Anyways, now coming back to the topic, the display on the Z6 is Full HD+ that has a resolution and aspect ratio of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 respectively (same goes for the stock wallpapers).

Handling of tasks is done by the upper mid-range Snapdragon SoC from Qualcomm. Graphics processing is managed by the Adreno 618 GPU. The chipset in the Lenovo Z6 is aided by a generous 8GB or 6GB of RAM which is storage dependant. Having said that, the internal storage options are 64GB and 128GB which is expandable via a MicroSD card slot.

Now that we are just under five months away from 2020, it is of no surprise to us that Lenovo has equipped the Z6 with an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Lenovo Z6 has a triple camera setup

For photographers there’s a primary 24MP (f/1.8) + 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto + depth-sensing 5MP (f/2.2) camera. Upfront, there’s a single 16MP unit for the selfie- lovers. Videos can be captured at a resolution of up to 4K @ 30fps via the rear camera and Full HD @ 30fps by using the selfie cam.

Lenovo Z6 Connectivity, Battery power, and OS version

As expected on pretty much any mid-high end smartphones today, connectivity-wise, the Z6 has you covered. As in, you have Dual SIM and Dual Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac. Bluetooth 5.0 along with GPS is on board. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also equipped in this smartphone.

Powering the mid-range device is a large 4000mAh battery. With that said, fast battery charging is onboard the Lenovo Z6 (15W).

On the software side of things, the Lenovo Z6 runs ZUI 11 which is based on Android 9 Pie.

Availability, pricing, and colors

For now, the Lenovo Z6 is a china-only device. It will set you back $275, $305 and $365 for the 6 + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants respectively. The Z6 is only available in a green paint job.
