Lenovo hasn’t been a company best known for its innovations, in the smartphone world at least. The Chinese manufacturer does try often though. The company’s latest flagship is the Lenovo Z5 Pro which picks up the latest innovations from a number of different devices. A full-screen design with no notch, thanks to a slider design, in-display fingerprint scanner and some brand new stock wallpapers make up the Lenovo Z5 Pro. Lenovo Z5 Pro Design

The Z5 Pro by Lenovo is a gorgeous phone to look at. A lot of that can be credited to the all-screen front the illusion of which is never broken upon by an intruding notch. This is made possible with the slider mechanism we’ve already seen on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. It’s a glass sandwich design, meaning there’s glass on both sides of the phone. The Lenovo Z5 Pro is only available in the black color.

Lenovo Z5 Pro Specs

The device comes with a 6.39-inch full-screen, notchless, Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2340 pixels. This puts the aspect ratio at 19.5: 9 and the pixel density at 403 pixels per inch. The Lenovo Z5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core SoC. It is currently the latest mid-range offering from Qualcomm based on the 10nm process. The SoC is paired with 6 GB of RAM and 64 Gb or 128 GB of internal storage. The display of the device also houses a fingerprint scanner. This is similar to the Vivo NEX, OnePlus 6T and a few other smartphones earlier.

The back of the phone contains a dual camera setup. It consists of a Galaxy-esque 16 MP sensor with variable apertures of f/1.8″ and f/2.6″ which supports PDAF. The other one is a 24 MP Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor supporting a resolution of 4616 x 3464 Pixels with an aperture of f/1.28″. The front of the device also houses a dual camera setup with a 16 MP (f/2.2) primary camera and an 8 MP secondary camera. Out of the box, the Lenovo Z5 Pro runs Android 8.1 Oreo but buyers can expect the device to get the Android Pie update. Apart from the fingerprint scanner, the Z5 Pro also supports Face unlock with built-in infra-red sensors.

The usual connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G are all here as well. It includes a USB Type C connector but the endangered 3.5mm headphone jack is nowhere to be found. All of this is powered by a 3350 mAh battery.
