Full HD+ OLED, Kirin 810, 8GB RAM…

The 5th gen Nova device from Huawei brings with it a vivid and notched 6.39in OLED display with an aspect ratio and resolution of 19.5:9 and 1080 x 2340 pixels respectively. The display is most likely protected under the Gorilla Glass.

At heart is an all-new Kirin 810 SoC aided by an ample 8GB of RAM. The storage capacity of the Huawei Nova 5 is 128GB with a proprietary Nano-Memory card slot.

For biometric authentication, an under-display fingerprint reader is onboard the Huawei Nova 5.

Quad camera system

The Huawei Nova 5 employs a Quad camera arrangement at the rear for amazing photos and videos. There is a 48MP main snapper. Next, a 16MP wide-angle camera is ready for wide shots. Then, there is a 2MP depth sensor. Finally, again a 2MP camera that is used for macro shots finishes the job.

A single 32MP selfie cam is up front the Huawei Nova 5 for selfie-maniacs out there.

Video footages at a resolution of up to 1080p @ 30 fps can be recorded by using the Huawei Nova 5 shooters.

Battery Power and charging, connectivity and Android version

An adequate 3500mAh battery is sealed inside the Huawei Nova 5. With that said, the Nova is able to charge up to 85% in just 30 minutes, all thanks to Huawei SuperCharge.

Coming to the connectivity, it has you all covered with Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE. GPS is available for navigation and location-based services. Unsurprisingly, the audio jack is nowhere to be seen, yeah, 2019!

As expected, the Huawei Nova is set to ship with Android 9.1 Pie based EMUI 9.1 off the assembly line.
