Samsung unveiled the world’s first truly foldable phone just a few days ago. Now we have the Huawei Mate X. Today, we’ll take a look at the hardware specs of the device and after that will share the Huawei Mate X wallpapers. Huawei Mate X: The worlds thinnest foldable and fastest 5G smartphone
Telecommunications giant and smartphone maker Huawei took the wraps off their much anticipated foldable mobile device yesterday at MWC 2019. The smartphone is called the Mate X. Speaking of which, today we have got the official stock wallpaper(s) of the Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone in 2089 x 2340 resolution. However, let’s go through specs of the Mate X before we get into the stock wallpapers of the foldable device.
An 8″ flexible and foldable AMOLED, 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980, 55W Huawei SuperCharge…
The Huawei Mate X employs a massive tablet-style 8in AMOLED 2480 x 2200 pixels display (8:7.1 aspect ratio) in its unfolded state. Fold the device and the user is provided with a 6.6in 2480 x 1148 pixels main screen featuring an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. A thing to note here is that unlike the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Fold, the Mate X folds outwards as opposed to inwards as we all had seen in the former.
With that said, on the other side (rear) of the device is a secondary screen measuring 6.4in with an aspect ratio of 25:9 and resolution of 2480 x 892 pixels. With that said the odd resolution for the rear screen is due to the camera system (triple camera setup) being present. Details of the camera have not been specified by Huawei.
Powering up this versatile smartphone is the latest and greatest, mighty and powerful Kiri 980 chipset from Huawei coupled to a Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. Yes, the same chipset that was featured in the Mate 20 Pro. Internal storage is generous at 512GB and so is the at RAM 8GB in size. A Huawei’s native Nano memory card slot (SIM 2 slot) is available for storage expansion.
Triple or Quadruple camera setup
The details regarding the camera system of the Huawei Mate X is yet to be known and confirmed. Going by the pictures and presentations, it seems like the Mate X seems to be equipped with three cameras. However, Huawei has said, the device is expected to feature four cameras in total. Lets all, wait and watch.
Battery power and charging tech, connectivity and Android OS
A massive 4500mAh cell is powering the versatile and flexible Mate X. The device features a USB-C port for charging and data transfers. Speaking of which, the Mate X features the company’s proprietary charging technology known as SuperCharge that helps charge the battery at 55W. Meaning, the battery can charge all the way to 85% in just 30 minutes.
Coming to the connectivity side of the device, it has you all covered with Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Bluetooth 5.0 LE with support for aptX audio codec, A2DP and EDR, GPS for navigation and location-based services and more are onboard. As expected on a flagship device nowadays, a 3.5mm audio jack is no more.
The Huawei Mate X launches with Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9 or 9.1 onboard.
Pricing, availability and paint jobs
The Huawei Mate X will be available in mid-2019 for $2600 in various markets around the world in Instellar Blue paint job.
Design: A thin and sleek foldable phone
In its folded state, the Huawei Mate X measures 11mm. Fold the device, and it just measures just 5.4mm on one side as the other side employs the bump for the camera system module, thus altering the thinness of the smartphone.
