If you’re an HTC 10 user then you know the pain of having to wait for the latest software update. Not only is Android Nougat following a very slow rollout schematic, but it is also completely cut-off for those rolling with HTC’s latest flagship drive. Good news is coming your way, however, as it seems possible for the Android Nougat update for HTC 10 to resume.
To shed some more light on the situation, we are looking at a Twitter post that teases the apparent incoming return of the patch rollout. The tweet comes from a user with the Twitter handle @LlabTooFeR and according to them, we can see the update drop again on HTC 10 devices within the upcoming 3 weeks.
There are several key details to their tweet that stick out. For starters, they mention that this HTC 10 Nougat update will be coming for EU and carrier versions, meaning that the rest might have to wait some more. Additionally, they specify that the update will also include the January security patch. The tweet ends on a light note, with “Relax and wait”.
While some are already hoping that the update will be made available in the rest of the regions in the same time frame, those that find themselves in the regions marked to receive it first according to the tweet are rejoicing.
If you’ve been keeping up with the progress of Google’s Android 7.0 and 7.1 Nougat build rollout, you know that it is pretty difficult to get the latest installment of the Pixel manufacturer’s operating system. More than that, it seems incredibly hard for smartphone manufacturers to provide the firmware for their users, thus leading to some unpleased customers and overall community backlash.
