- First of all, make sure to download the OTA update zip file from the link in the Downloads section above which is a zip file of 750MB+ and transfer the file to your phone.
- While transferring the file to your phone, make sure that you place the zip file in the root of your internal storage so that your zip file can be visible to the OnePlus updater app
- Once completed, open the Settings app on your phone and go to the updates section which can be found fromย Settings -> System updates
- After this, click onย โLocal Upgradeโย in Settings and you should see the OTA zip file which was downloaded and moved to the root folder on your SD card as seen from the screenshot below.
- Now, the OTA zip file will be visible in the Local upgrade section, you have to click on this OTA zip file and you will get a popup to ask if you want to upgrade to the latest OTA update.
- Click onย Upgrade Nowย from the popup menu now and your device will begin the process of installing the latest OTA update on your OnePlus 5/5T manually. This process will take a few minutes after which your device will reboot the system automatically.
