Nokia used to be the largest smartphone OEM once but having reached the peak of its glory, the company started falling because of the rise of Android and its own failure to keep up with the pulse of the rapidly changing market. Things have drastically changed during Nokia’s absence with Android becoming the new cool and Samsung rising to the throne.
Anyway, the Finnish startup named HMD global that owns the Nokia brand name is all set to make a comeback with a new version of its celebrated model 3310 and a couple of new Android smartphones, the Nokia 3, 5 and 6. These phones were showcased at MWS 2017 and will hit the shelves this month.
The Nokia 3 is the company’s entry-level Android smartphone with a neat design and decent hardware specs. The phone features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 px and a pixel density of 294 PPI. The device is powered by MediaTek MTK 6737 quad-core 1.4 GHz processor and has 2 GB RAM. It offers 16 GB onboard storage which can further be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card. As for the Nokia 3’s camera, it features 8 MP shooters as primary and secondary cameras. The phone has a 2650 mAh non-removable battery and comes with Android 7.0 out of the box.
