This custom skin has been named as MIUI by the company. Last year, the company released MIUI 8 which was based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow which was the latest version of MIUI until now. Now, the latest version of MIUI has been released by Xiaomi and it is MIUI 9.

Talking about MIUI 9 from Xiaomi, the company has now started to roll out the update to MIUI 9 for most of their Xiaomi devices including the Xiaomi Mi6, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 which are the devices that have been released in 2017. However, Xiaomi has announced that they will be releasing updates to MIUI 9 for devices in their lineup that have been three years old as well.

MIUI 9 brings all the latest features like Multi-tasking, Split-screen as well as better RAM and battery management. The latest version of MIUI also brings along a smart assistant from the company that predicts the list of apps that may be needed to be opened and gives us the suggestions smartly. The first device to have MIUI 9 out-of-the-box is Xiaomi Mi 5X which was released earlier this year.
