Oneplus has recently pushed an update to OnePlus 3 which update the OxygenOS to v3.2.2. The update comes with quite a few noticeable changes. Given below is the step by step guide to manually update your OnePlus 3 to theย latest version of OxygenOS if you are still waiting for that OTA on your device.
OnePlus is giving quick updates to fix issues users are facing on their OnePlus 3. It’s good to see issues reported by users are being fixed by OnePlus. The new update comes with the following changes and fixes:
- Improved notification management in Doze.
- Addressed alert slider/silent mode issue.
- Disabled fingerprint sensor while in theย pocket.
- Added NFC toggles in quick settings.
- Improved noise cancellation in video recording.
- Updated 4K video recording codec.
- Added latest security patches and various optimizations.
The update also includes newer kernel and a newer firmware. Follow the steps given below to install the update on your OnePlus 3.

Steps to Follow
For Users Having TWRP Custom Recovery:
Step 1.ย Download the full ROM zip file from the link given above and transfer it to your device’s storage.
Step 2.ย Reboot your device in Recovery mode to boot TWRP. To do so, turn off your device and then press and hold Power + Volume Down keys for few seconds.
Step 3.ย Once TWRP has booted on your device. Select the Backup option and check mark all the partitions. Then swipe to make the backup of your current ROM.
Step 4.ย Now go back to the home of TWRP and select Wipe > Advanced Wipe and then select Data, System, Cache and Dalvik Cache partitions. If you are updating from OxygenOS then do not select Data and System partitions if you want to keep your applications and data. Now swipe to confirm the wipe.
Step 5.ย Once again go back to theย home of TWRP and then select Install. Now browse the full ROM zip file which youย transferred to your device in theย first step and swipe to confirm the installation.
Step 6.ย Now if you want to root your device then download the SuperSU file linked above and transfer it to your device.
Step 7.ย Now select install in TWRP and select the SuperSU zip file. Swipe to confirm the installation.
Step 8. Rebootย your device.
For Users Having Stock Recovery
Step 1.ย Download the incremental OTA zip file according to the version of OxygenOs on your device from the links given above and transfer it to your device’s storage.
Step 2.ย Now boot your device into recovery mode. To do so, turn off your device and then press and hold Power + Volume Down keys for few seconds.
Step 3.ย Once in recovery mode select Install from SDย and select the zip file you copied to your device.
Step 5. Click on Install to start the process and wait for it to finish.
Step 6.ย Now Reboot your system and Enjoy!
