Just a few years ago, smartphones were manufactured by just a bunch of big tech-giant companies most of which are still among the most trusted smartphone brands. The dawn of an open source platform like Android allowed any OEM to use the OS on their hardware and thus there came a flood of smaller and lesser-known companies who began to target especially price-sensitive markets. Most of such manufacturers do not care about things like the patented stuff of big whales and use them recklessly to save cost. The greatest USP of devices by such manufacturers is their cheaper price tag.

In countries like China and India, such OEMs have been very successful. Huawei is also a Chinese tech company but it’s earned good name over years. They make great smartphones at a reasonable price. Huawei’s Honor series of devices are very popular. Just a few months ago the OEM released a mid-end phone called the Honor Play 4X (also known as Glory Play 4X) with decent specifications including 5.5 inches IPS LCD display (720 x 1280 pixels), Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, 2GB RAM, 13MP main and 5MP rear camera, 3000mAh battery. The phone comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.
