I received Oreo about 2 weeks ago on my Nexus 6P. Ever since, it keeps defaulting to a wallpaper that I have not selected. I’ve tried setting a new wallpaper using Google Wallpaper and tried selecting a stored wallpaper. It will default within hours to that same darn wallpaper.
Try wiping the cache and data for the Wallpapers app from Settings> Apps and Notifications.
