Samsung Galaxy S6 lineup has been the Samsung’s best attempt to improve the design and build of its Galaxy of smartphones. The toned down Touchwiz is a welcome change by many usersย of these devices. Though Samsung has removed an important feature while toning down its TouchWiz UI. In the latest TouchWiz UI that comes installed on devices like S6, S6 Edge, Note 5, S6 Edge+, you no longer have the option to change the settings of the backlight of capacitive buttons. The option to change backlight duration of the capacitive buttons was available in the previous version of TouchWiz.
If you own any of the above-mentioned devices, chances are you might have faced the annoying light coming from the buttons and blazing your eyes when you are using your phone in the dark. The screen on these devices can be dimmed to a great extent helping you in using the phone even in dark comfortably, but the capacitive buttons light up and mess up your night reading sessions or anything you might be doing on your device.
Luckily, if you own a rooted device, here is an app that will enable you to get back those settings. The app Dr. Ketan Light Settings, as suggested by the name is developed by Dr.Ketan, a renowned developer among Samsung device users. If you own a Samsung device you must have used his mods or ROMs developed by him.
The application has a simple UI and does what it says. IT provides the options to change the duration of the backlight of the capacitive recents and back buttons. It has the following options for changing the duration of the backlight of the buttons:
- Stock (1.5 seconds)
- Turn Off (No Light)
- Custom
- Always On (when the screen is On)

How to Change Capacitive Button Backlight Duration:
- Download the application:ย Button_Light_1.0.apk

- Open the application and grant root access.
- Adjust the Settings to your liking and save them.
