Whether it is just a rumor, or a true, it is certainly a great news for SGS3 owners worldwide. The Android 4.1.1 JB update has not yet reached to all Galaxy S3 phones, and now we have a report that Samsung is planning to roll out another firmware update deemed as Android 4.1.2 for the S3. The most interesting thing the v. 4.1.2 update will feature is the much-talked about multi-window functionality that is confined only to the Galaxy Note 2 so far.
The Illyrian tech blog Tgspot has leaked this news based on a tip given by a Samsung insider. If the news is true, the Samsung Galaxy S3 users will have another reason to smile. The Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware update will reportedly start rolling out by mid December. The sources also say that the Multi-window feature will also be available for the Galaxy Note when the device specific JB firmware comes.
If you have already started waiting for the next update, keep your eyes and ears open. You can recognize a the Android version of a Samsung firmware by the alphabetical code given at the beginning of a firmware name.
