The smartphone market is flooded with Chinese OEMs but Huawei has been able to create a good image in international markets. The company has been releasing some really good handsets for some time and the Honor Magic is another steps forward mainly because of it futuristic design.

Huawei Honor Magic was launched in China a couple of months ago but it was showcased recently at the CES 2017. The “Magic” in the name of the phone is not just a word. Actually, the magic of the phone comes from its design that consists of super-thin metal body and curved glass on both sides.

The Honor Magic is completely different from what we have seen coming from the Chines manufacturer so far. To a great extent, it looks like a Galaxy S7 Edge with curved panels at the front and back sides. However, the Magic Honor is not only slimmer but also more compact.

The metal frame is really thin and what you get on the right side are still thinner power and volume rockers. Huawei has moved the SIM card slot, headphone jack and USB-C port to the bottom side of the frame. As for the software, the Honor Magic does not come with the good old EMUI most Huawei phones feature. The OEM has completely revamped things for good and the focus of the new UI (called Magic Live UI) has been shifted to artificial intelligence. The phone learns from your phone usage, gathers information from you and customizes things accordingly.

As for the specs, Huawei Honor Magic sports a 5.09-inch AMOLED QHD display (1440 x 2560 pixels), Hisilicon Kirin 950 Octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, no card slot, Dual 12 MP primary and 8 MP secondary, front-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 2900 mAh non-removable battery.
