Nokia 6 is the latest device to borrow the Nokia branding, and it will only be available in China. Even so, the level of anticipation has surpassed anything most would have hoped for as it seems that the brand name still holds some significance. The once market leader, once again release a device, and an event will take place on the 19th of January, on JD.com. The website will host a flash sale which already has 1 million registrations confirmed.
There were two kinds of reservations made for the new Nokia device. The free reservations were numerous and managed to score an impressive 411.470 hits. There were also paid reservations, and these too came in big numbers. It is recorded that 9.200 paid reservations were made in the course of one day after the January 8th release.
In terms of Nokia specifications, users will handle a 5.5 inch display that comes with Gorilla Glass protection. Going under the hood, we have a Snapdragon 430 processor which is supported by 4 GB of RAM. The internal storage memory comes with a 64 GB cap that should be plenty of space for most people. In case you have to juggle between two SIM cards and hate it, you can turn a new leaf and enjoy the dual SIM capability of the handset. You can also capture key moments of your day with the 16 MP – 8 MP camera combo. To fuel up all these hardware components, Nokia 6 comes with a 3000 mAh battery unit.
According to HMD Global, which owns the rights to use the Nokia name brand, there will be more devices under the franchise arriving this year. Fans can expect more announcements during the month of February and beyond. New unveiling are also allegedly scheduled for before MWC 2017.
