Socializing with friends and acquaintances is one of the most important tasks for any person to lead an interesting life. Smartphones and many social media apps have made this task quite simpler and enticing. Talking about instant messaging apps, WhatsApp is the most popular messaging service which is simple and fast to catch up with your buddies. It is lighter than most of the messaging apps, especially the Facebook Messenger which is quite memory frenzy app.
Recently we have come across a simple app which enhances the WhatsApp chat experience. The app embeds and shows a WhatsApp widget whenever you’re chatting with someone. The widget shows the unread messages count when not opened and it keeps updating live. Clicking the widget will expand it to show you a screen full of unread messages for you to take a peak and jump to any conversation. If you switch to a new chat, you could go back to previous chat just by pressing the back button. You can always click the cross (X) button to close the widget.
Once you install the app, you need to go through a 2-step setup on your device. Open the Chat Helper app and enable the Accessibility Service, and when asked to create widgets, click on the ‘Always allow’ button. This is a one-time setup and you’ll never have to bother about it again. Once the setup is complete, you’ll see the widget on the right side on the screen, which you can drag to reposition if necessary.
Tap on the widget to open any conversation, and once the back button is pressed, you’ll be back to the previous conversation. If you get the hang of it, you’ll truly experience the multitasking ability in the WhatsApp messenger. Currently, the app works on JellyBean 4.1 and above versions of Android. You can download the app directly from the Google Play Store link from below.
