The DROID Turbo, which was announced last month during October 2014, is one of the most powerful Android smartphones out there. It sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED high-density display, which makes the Turbo a smartphone with the sharpest display. It also offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset running Quad-core Krait 450 processor at 2.7 GHz with abundant 3 GB RAM, accompanied by a 21 MP high-res camera with Dual-LED flash for best digital photography.
Motorola lately introduced its very intelligent Turbo Charging module, which is already contained in the Nexus 6 and formally introduced with the DROID Turbo. It comprises of a 3900 mAh battery which can last as long as 48 hours without any need to charge, and add additional 8 hours of battery with Turbo Charging within 15 minutes.
The Motorola Droid Turbo was released exclusively for the users of Verizon but the OEM has now launched the international version of the device. Being locked to Verizon, the Droid Turbo comes with a host of Verizon bloats and certain limitations which can be overcome using root access. Sadly, there is no working root method for the device but it does not mean at all that our developer community will keep sitting silently. If you wish to get rid of the unwanted bloat apps found on the Verizon Droid Turbo, there is now a way you can remove unwanted apps using a simple ADB command.

Get Everything Ready
- Compatible USB cable
- Enable USB Debugging.
- Backup your device storage, SMS, contacts, and calendars etc.

Disable Unwanted Apps on Droid Turbo
- Connect your Droid Turbo to the PC via USB data cable.
- Open the extracted Droid-Turbo-Block-Bloat-Ware folder and double-click on Block Bloat Ware.bat
- This will take sufficient time to complete. Just sit back and wait.
- Once done, you can reboot your Droid and all the annoying apps shall be gone.
- In case, you want to include any other app to be disabled, go to Droid-Turbo-Block-Bloat-Ware/tools, press SHIFT key and right-click on an empty space inside the folder. Select Open command window here and enter the following command:
adb shell “pm block <package-name>
Here, replace “<package-name>” with the name of the corresponding app, e.g. com.imdb.mobile.
- Similarly, if you would like to exclude or unblock a package, type in the following command:
adb shell “pm unblock <package-name>
Please note, avoid the last two commands if you don’t know how it works or to want extent can harm your device. This was an easy attempt, wasn’t it? Just a click away to remove all the unwanted apps/bloatware from your Droid Turbo.
