The volume hack mod for the Galaxy Note 3 is available in three versions according to volume loudness value. Please note that if you choose to go with the “Very Loud” mod, you might experience a little distortion in your Note 3’s sound output. We recommend that you go with “Moderate” or “Moderate Lite” version for best results.

How to Install Volume Boost Mod on Note 3:
- Download the preferred volume boost mod file from above (do not unzip) and copy it to your device.
- Boot your Note 3 into Recovery mode using one of these apps, or this way: turn off the device, then hold the Volume Up + Home + Power keys together for 4-6 seconds till you see the CWM/TWRP recovery menu.
- If you have ClockworkMod recovery on your Note 3, use the volume keys to scroll and the power button to select files or options. In case you have TWRP, just tap the desired option and move the slider to confirm your selection.
- Okay, now tap on the “Install” button (TWRP), or select “install zip from sdcard” option (in CWM).
- Navigate to the volume boost mod Zip file and select it.
- Confirm your choice and when the installation is finished, return back to the main menu in CWM/TWRP.
- Select “Wipe> Advanced wipe> Dalvik” in TWRP, or “advanced> wipe dalvik cache” if you have CWM.
- Finally, reboot the device (system).
Your device will now reboot and when it boots up, you should feel a significant increase in volume loudness on your Note 3. Enjoy and do not forget to share your experience if you test it. Thanks!

Can you make a sound mod for Note 3 Lollipop?
SM-N900P. Does this mod no longer work with Kit Kat? I followed the instructions above. During the process I got a glimpse of two yellow error messages on the bottom of the screen. One of them was something to the effect of “incorrect email signature.” I started out with moderate, then tried very loud in order to make sure that the volume was boosted. There was no change in volume. I then installed normal just in case and I am back to square one. Each time I run the mode I get the same two yellow error messages.
The USB debugging option was checked under developer options.
Do I need to have the USB cable attached while I perform the process? I did not.
It will not work on KitKat.

the_Mike_D I do not exactly remember the values for mic now, but once you find the correct string, just play with a greater value, replace the volume gain file and reboot the device to take effect.

the_Mike_D Hi Mike, nice to know it worked for you. As for the mic sensitivity, you can unzip the mod file, open it with Notepad++ and look for mic volume intensity value and edit it. The entry should be there in Volume gain configuration.xml file.
Hey I wanted to say thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for. Is it possible to fine tune the sensitivity of the mic too? Sometimes people say they can’t hear me clearly even though I’m in a quiet room. Perhaps the recording gain could have several increased values too?
