If there is a single most fascinating thing about Android, most of you will agree that it is rooting. Rooting is a widely known term in the Android community. Our OEMs disdain it ย and try their best to discourage users against it. Many sophisticated fellows refrain from it because they are afraid of bricking their device or because they are not much interested in such activities. However, those who are passionate about their phone or tablet and wish to enhance its performance and enjoy customization, cannot live a single day with a device that does not have root access.
Rooting gives you full control over the system files of your device and by modifying those files, you can radically curb things according to your requirements. This does mean that every user with a rooted device should be a geeky sort of person. Android is the most popular platform for mobile devices and it has a great developer community that keeps working day and night to help you get the most out of your smartphone or tablet.ย Today, we’ll see a great example of what rooting can really do on Android devices!
Low volume is one of the commonest issues that we, as phone users, face in everyday life. The problem becomes even more serious to those spend most of their time in noisy places. It really feels irritating when we are not able to hear the ringtone when someone calls us, or the alarm fails to wake us up, or we are not able to hear the in-call voice clearly. I have about half a dozen Android flagships and low volume is probably the single issue that highlights the unity in diversity.
If you own aย Samsung Galaxy Note 3, I am sure you would not be satisfied with it volume loudness. Can you make a sound mod for Note 3 Lollipop?
SM-N900P. Does this mod no longer work with Kit Kat? I followed the instructions above. During the process I got a glimpse of two yellow error messages on the bottom of the screen. One of them was something to the effect of “incorrect email signature.” I started out with moderate, then tried very loud in order to make sure that the volume was boosted. There was no change in volume. I then installed normal just in case and I am back to square one. Each time I run the mode I get the same two yellow error messages.
The USB debugging option was checked under developer options.
Do I need to have the USB cable attached while I perform the process? I did not.
It will not work on KitKat.
Thank you for the prompt response Rakesh. You are the best.
What about Galaxy Note 3 SM 7217S?
It works on all Snapdragon version of Note 3 with Android 4.3.
can i use on samsung galaxy note 3-SM-N900 ??
No.
Perfect! Thanks..
the_Mike_Dย I do not exactly remember the values for mic now, but once you find the correct string, just play with ย a greater value, replace the volume gain file and reboot the device to take effect.
Thanks! So what values are possible: Min & Max?
the_Mike_Dย Hi Mike, nice to know it worked for you. As for the mic sensitivity, you can unzip the mod file, open it with Notepad++ and look for mic volume intensity value and edit it. The entry should be there in Volume gain configuration.xml file.
Hey I wanted to say thanks. ย This is exactly what I was looking for. ย Is it possible to fine tune the sensitivity of the mic too? ย Sometimes people say they can’t hear me clearly even though I’m in a quiet room. ย Perhaps the recording gain could have several increased values too?
will the very loud version 2 cause the note 3 speaker to blow out?
No it’ll not but might sound a little distorted.
WOW you’re super fast with your response lol. Yeah i noticed that it was a little distorted but its all good. Just as long as the speaker doesn’t blow out, maybe I should install the moderate boost instead of the very loud?
Replying to comments is always my first priority when I am online.
Yes, you should go with moderate one.
