So you want to play Xbox 360 games on your phone? For that, you are looking for the best Xbox 360 emulator for android. While there are some Xbox 360 emulators out there but in reality, they are not going to run any games.
I tested around 2 different Xbox 360 emulators for android and unfortunately, none of them worked. Both of them did install on my smartphone and to be honest, I’m glad they didn’t.

If you are looking for the best android Xbox 360 emulator, then I’m sorry to say there is none. There are several reasons behind that and I’ll explain those in detail.
Smartphones Simply Aren’t Capable
Smartphone technology has made rapid progress in a few years yet it is still not there yet. Xbox 360 emulators are rare even on PC. They are not capable of running games even on the most powerful hardware. So if they are not running well on expensive and dedicated hardware on PC, there is no way they can run games on android.
Smartphone GPUs and CPUs are not capable of running high fidelity video games made for Xbox 360. I’m not saying that smartphone games look bad, we’ve seen some high graphic games for android but the games on Xbox 360 are coded for specific hardware. This makes the emulation process a whole lot complicated.
Even if smartphones are somehow able to run Xbox 360 video games, they would look awful. Running the game at super low resolution and with respectable frame rates is no way to play a video game.
Xbox 360 Games Are Made For Xbox
One of the biggest struggles in emulation is running video games made for very specific custom hardware. The Xbox 360 uses GPUs and CPUs custom made for the Xbox hardware. Porting the same games to another platform is a challenge even for the company that made the original game.
So running the game on android that was made for another platform is like trying to run a PlayStation 4 game on Xbox One.
Installing 3rd Party Apps Is Not Secure
There are no Xbox 360 emulators for android available on the Google play store. So you have to visit third-party websites to download the APK file for emulators that most won’t work on your smartphone.
During the research, I found a single application that claims to play Xbox 360 games. Yet, when I visited the download page my browser warned me about its malicious nature.
Conclusion:
There are no Xbox 360 emulators that work on android. At this point, I’d recommend getting a used Xbox 360 to play the games. A used Xbox 360 can be found somewhere around $80 to $150 depending on the condition.
That price is lower than even midrange android smartphones. That would be your best bet to play Xbox 360 games.
