Since the Google I/O had begun, a huge bunch of new features and updates are on a line-up. And earlier today was when new updates to Chrome Browser – Google & Google Drive were pushed to the Play Store, which brings in some new features and a lot of improvements.
To begin with, lets hit up with Chrome Browser.

Chrome Browser for your Android Smartphone and Tablet is designed to navigate fast and experience a much smoother UI. Not just faster navigation, Chrome offers its users to link and sync their Google accounts. This in turn syncs everything between your Desktop PC/Laptop to your Smartphone/Tablets, you name it; Bookmarks, History, Search results and much more.
The following new additions have been made to the new updated version of Chrome Browser:
- Full-screen on phones – Scroll to hide the toolbar
- Simplified search – View and refine your query directly in the omnibox
- Tab history on tablets – Long press the browser’s back button to view your tab history
- Several stability improvements

Google Drive
Google Drive is a hosting service provided by Google to keep files safe and secure beyond the risk of losing them. It not only allows you to upload your files like Photos, Videos, Documents etc. But also edit them and share them publicly or privately with specific users. Users can easily access their files from anywhere either at home on their Desktop or on-the-go, on their Android Smartphone/Tablet. It also enables its users to make their files available for offline usage, edit them or print them.
The following new additions have been made to the new updated version of Google Drive:
- New grid view makes it easier to find your files
- New quick preview lets you view photos and other files from within the app
- Scan documents, receipts and letters for safe keeping in Drive; then search by contents once uploaded
- Download a copy of files to your local device (Honeycomb+)
- Spreadsheet editor now supports changing fonts, colors and cell alignment
- View properties of files from within the editors
- Bug fixes and visual improvements
