Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo took the wraps off the X27 mid-grade smartphone a few days ago. Vivo X27: Yet another pop-up camera smartphone!
6.39″ Full HD+ notch-less Super AMOLED, UD fingerprint scanner, pop-up selfie camera…
The Vivo X27 features a 6.39in Full HD+ tall 19.5:9 Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
The performance is carried out by an upper mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC (vapor chamber to help it cool) coupled to an Adreno 616 GPU. There is 256GB of onboard storage on the Vivo X27 aided by 8GB of RAM. With that said, the internal memory is expandable, as the device is equipped with a dedicated memory card slot (up to 256GB).
Coming to biometrics, an in-display fingerprint scanner is situated beneath the Super AMOLED display.
Tri-Camera setup
Photography is handled by a triple camera setup at the rear featuring a primary 48MP (PDAF) (f/1.8lens) + 13MP (120° ultra-wide-angle ) + 5MP (f/2.4) (depth). Naturally, the cameras are assisted by an LED flash. As for the selfie camera, motorized pop-up 16MP selfie camera is available for selfieholics. Both rear and front-facing cameras are able to record videos at a resolution of up to 2160p @ 30fps and 1080p @ 30fps respectively.
Battery Power and charging, connectivity and Android OS
A 4000 mAh battery is onboard to keep the device ticking on and on. With that said, the Vivo X27 is equipped with a USB-C port for charging and data transfers. Speaking of which, the device features Fast Charging (18W) to help it top up fast enough in the morning.
Coming to the connectivity side of the device, it has you all covered with Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE with support for AptX audio, A2DP and EDR. GPS for navigation and location-based services and more is onboard. Thankfully, a 3.5mm audio jack lives in the device for all audiophiles out there.
The Vivo X27 ships with Android 9.0 Pie based Funtouch OS 9 from day one.

The Vivo X27 launches in Blue and Gold paint jobs. The device is priced at CNY 3,600 in China.
