Online privacy has become one of the greatest concerns among Internet users. We love to surf the web but hate being tracked or spied. If privacy is a big concern for you, you can secure online privacy with there web browsers for Android.
Mainstream web browsers are usually tracking your surfing habits in order to provide you with customized ads and more. However, there are many people who would prefer not to be tracked and not to be profiled by companies such as Google, since privacy is more important to them. The two apps that we present in this article can easily work as your browser substitute. They are fast, reliable and most importantly they don’t track you.
DuckDuckGo
DuckDuckGo is a great option for those who want to secure online privacy. It is full of features that allow you to take control of your browsing experience. For example, the browser’s built-in Privacy Protection feature will block many hidden third-party trackers from various advertisement companies. Another great feature is that the browser forces sites (when applicable) to use an encrypted connection.
It’s worth noting that your search habits are also private. DuckDuckGo doesn’t profile you based on medical, financial or political questions made on the web.
The application will also provide you with a Privacy score for each site you visit. In this way, you know at a glance whether someone is tracking you or not.
Above all though, DuckDuckGo is a browser. Every feature you’d expect of one is there. Tabs, bookmarks and more are all there. On the downside there are certain times that in order to ensure your privacy, the browser may “break” a webpage, deeming it unusable. These cases though, are rare and in between.
Download DuckDuckGo by using the app box below and take your internet habits in your hands.

Qwant
Qwant is another great web browser and search engine to secure your online privacy. If you like what DuckDuckGo does, but you’d prefer a better UI, then Qwant is the right browser for you. Once again, the browser doesn’t collect your personal data which means they don’t use cookies and they don’t profile your habits as well. Some of the more refined features that DuckDuckGo has aren’t present here, such as the privacy score.
However, Qwant has some quite unique features as well. For example, it offers you information for your favorite band or video game right at the top of your screen. Meaning that when you search for a certain band or video game, the browser will offer tailored results and not simply a link to Wikipedia.
Download Qwant now and give it a try.

It showed us that the internet is not as private as we thought. The aforementioned apps though, can help you make internet less creepy and more safe or private. Give them a try and in case we forgot anything, let us know through the comment section below. As always thanks for reading.
