Oppo R17 Pro was announced back in August this year but it took the Chinese OEM a while to bring it to the market. The smartphone finally went to sale in China a month ago. Oppo R17 Pro Specs

The R17 Pro is the first Oppo phone with three rear cameras. The third actually is a 3D TOF depth sensor that you can’t use on its own. It’s a Dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G.

The device sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340. It also sports the now poplar water-drop notch. Thanks to the little nipple on the display, Oppo R17 Pro can afford to claim a 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. Housed in the notch is a 25 MP front-facing camera. The rear camera setup consists of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with a dual-aperture lens (f/1.5 – f/2.4), a 20-megapixel sensor and a Time of Flight (TOF) 3D sensing camera.

Android 8.1 Oreo is installed on the device and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC with an octa-core CPU. This is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The 3700 mAh battery can be charged from 0% to 40% in just 10 minutes. The Oppo Find X was the first smartphone with the Super VOOC charging technology. However, the units shipped in India lacked the feature. And that’s how the Oppo R17 Pro is the first phone in India with the Super VOOC charging tech.

Oppo R17 Price

The smartphone was priced at CNY4,299 at launch in China and is currently priced at €599 in Europe. Oppo R17 Pro is expected to take on the OnePlus 6T in India. Therefore, the Indian pricing is expected to be 10% lower at around ₹40,000 to ₹50,000. We should have the exact pricing before the launch event on December 4 since the pre-orders are starting from December 1.
