Chinese smartphone maker Tecno Mobile introduced the Tecno Camon X back in April 2018. The Tecno Camon X features a unibody build made out of polycarbonate. The phone is equipped with a 6in 18:9 HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The Tecno Camon X is powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 SoC coupled with a Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity. Quite naturally, there is a dedicated MicroSD card slot present in the device that can handle cards of size up to 128GB. A fingerprint scanner is located at the rear and also face unlock system dubbed Face ID is onboard for biometric authentication.
Camera
Photography is handled by a single camera setup at the rear featuring a primary 16MP assisted by a ring LED flash. A 20MP selfie shooter assisted by a dual-LED dual tone flash is up front for the selfieholics out there. The front and rear camera can record videos at a resolution of up to 1080p @ 30 fps.
Power, connectivity and Android OS
A 3750 mAh battery is onboard the Tecno Camon X to keep the lights on and also the device is topped up via the obsolete Micro-USB port. However, to make up for this, the device features fast battery charging dubbed Light Speed Charging. Coming to the connectivity side of the Tecno Camon X, it has got you covered with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE with A2DP, GPS for navigation and location-based services and more. Thankfully, the device is equipped with the good old 3.5mm headphone jack we all love. The Tecno Camon X ran Android 8.1 based HiOS v3.3 out of the box at launch.

Design: iPhone 7ish rear panel look
Design-wise, the Tecno Camon X looks like many other smartphones with an 18:9 screen and minimal bezels top, sides, and bottom. However, Flip the Tecno Camon X and the rear design reminds us of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. There is no denying the fact that Tecno Mobile was only and only inspired by Apple for that rear panel design (barring the fingerprint sensor).
