Popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei unveiled a new flagship smartphone under their Honor sub-brand called the Honor Note 10 earlier today. The Honor Note 10 smartphone features a 6.95in Full HD+ 18:5:9 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2220× 1080.

The Honor Note 10 is powered by the company’s latest and greatest, mighty and powerful Kirin 970 SoC coupled with a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU that features GPU turbo for a boost in gaming performance. Speaking of which, now debuting on the Honor Note 10 is a new CPU turbo functionality for a boost and enhancement in CPU performance for a faster and swifter smartphone experience.

The Honor Note 10 launches in 6 or 8GB of RAM flavors in a 64 (6GB RAM variant) or 128GB (6/8GB RAM variant) internal memory configuration. Thankfully, a MicroSD card slot (hybrid solution) is present in the Honor Note 10 for expandable storage. The device is equipped with dual stereo speakers and so Honor has employed Dolby Panoramic Audio for an amazing audio listening experience.

Photography is handled by a dual camera setup at the rear featuring a 24MP + 16MP sensor combo. The two cameras at the rear are powered by Kirin 970’s AI core, the NPU (Neuro Processing Unit) and feature recognition for over 500 scenes. A 13 MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter is up front featuring 3D portrait lighting similar to the one featured on iPhone. The cameras both front and rear can record video with a resolution of up to 1080p and 4K @ 30fps respectively.

A massive 5000 mAh battery is onboard the Honor Note 10 to keep the lights on. Coming to the connectivity side of the Honor Note 10, it has you all covered with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE with A2DP, GPS and more. Unfortunately, the Honor Note 10 abandons the good old headphone jack we all love. A fingerprint scanner and possibly face unlock are available as biometric authentication options. The Honor Play runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out of the box.

Double Turbo and “the nine” liquid cooling feature

The Honor Note 10 features the GPU Turbo for better gaming and graphics performance. Again, as I mentioned earlier the device also features CPU Turbo for a faster and swifter smartphone experience. Speaking of which, the two software features will be able to combine together to form a Double Turbo mode with just a press of a button at the bottom of the device.

Interestingly, the CPU now employs a liquid cooling solution called “the nine” featuring eight layers of heat dissipation and a ninth layer which is a PC grade liquid cooled pipe that promises 41% better heat management that translates to 10°C cooler CPU temperature than other smartphones.

Pricing, color options and availability

As for pricing, the 6/64GB, 6GB/128GB RAM and the 8/128GB variant of the Honor Note 10 will set you back around CNY 2,799/ approx. ₹ 28,100, CNY 3,199/ approx. ₹ 32,100 and CNY 3,599/approx. ₹ 36,100 respectively. The Honor Note 10 will be available in Phantom Blue, Midnight Black and Lilly White paint jobs. The Honor Note 10 is now up for pre-order in China. Shipments will begin starting August 31, 2018.
