Wallpapers are an expression of yourself. Personally, I love to switch my digital wallpapers often as I quickly get bored. But finding the right wallpaper for your device can be challenging as you would want a beautiful picture that won’t get in the way of seeing your icons. A simple change of the background image can make the whole user interface feel new and refreshed. And, that’s why you should try one of the great wallpaper apps featured in the article.
You can obviously search the internet for some awesome looking wallpapers, download them and then set them up as wallpapers. Lately, a lot of android apps are emerging that provide beautiful wallpapers so that you don’t have to scout the internet for wallpapers and I have curated the 7 great wallpaper apps for Android in this list. All of these apps have something great to offer.
1. Tapet
Tapet generates high-quality material style random wallpapers based on the screen resolution of your device. Tapet has got a huge database of amazing wallpapers. Wallpapers change randomly based on the time interval which is configurable. The developer promises that new wallpapers will be added for every update, so there is a very rare chance of you seeing the same wallpaper twice.
After installing the app, you can start looking at the wallpapers and choose the one you like. You just need to swipe left, right or down to browse through them, and if you want to go back to the previous one, you just need to swipe up. Once youโve found what you want, just click on the check button and it will change your wallpaper with something that fits your screen.
You can read a detailed review of Tapet here.

Nautilus is a collection of wallpapers inspired by the latest trends of design. According to the developer, the app contains 16 wallpaper categories with over 215 wallpapers. Categories mainly include abstract, patterns, circles, blurs, shapes, stripes, and some more. All the wallpapers are stored on the cloud so you need an internet connection for viewing the wallpapers. Wallpapers can also be saved in the device. Muzei support is also given. Wallpapers are of 3200×2560 resolution.
3. Murum
Murrum is the best minimalistic wallpaper app I’ve ever come across. The wallpapers provided in the app are truly amazing. Murrum includes 210+ minimal wallpapers divided in various categories like stripes, geometry, pattern, blur, etc. Once you find your favorite wallpaper, tap on it and it will load the wallpaper. Since all the wallpapers are stored on the cloud, it will download the wallpaper first. Once it displays the wallpaper on the screen, you can apply it as a wallpaper or save it in your Gallery. While setting a wallpaper, the app also lets you crop the wallpaper.
4. Wallrox
Wallrox is a cloud-based wallpaper app with a huge database of awesome wallpapers designed in QHD or UHD quality which makes the screen look crispy. As all the wallpapers are stored on the cloud so you need an internet connection to view them. Wallpapers can be saved in the gallery too. Some of the categories include material design, material+texture, minimal, line, pattern, etc. It lets you crop wallpapers before applying them. Muzei support is also given.

Simple Walls is a very simple wallpaper app with just 35 wallpapers but all the wallpapers are of amazing quality. I especially like the gradient-like wallpapers that it has to offer. If you like such kind of wallpapers then you must give it a try. You’ll love it.
6. Colors
Colors was my favorite wallpaper app until the material style wave took over everything. It doesn’t provide any special kind of pattern-like wallpapers. It just offers solid color wallpapers. Plain and simple. A lot of solid colors are available in the app. However, if you don’t find the color you like it lets you enter color HEX codes. So basically you can set any solid color as your wallpaper.

Terra provides a bit different kind of wallpapers than other wallpaper apps. Instead of wallpapers with patterns and textures, Terra provides beautiful satellite images.
