Google has been offering many paid apps for free this year. We’ve even covered some of the better on sale apps that we found more than a couple of times. Today’s list will be a bit different. Because it’s generally a festive season all around the world and not only Google but several app developers are offering their apps at discount prices. Avail the offer and save money on the paid Android apps and games on sale before it’s too late.
You may have often come across a great app that you really wanted but thought the price was a bit too steep. Well, it turns out this festive season a number of those old but great paid Android apps and games on sale currently. The time is just right to shell out a few bucks and make’em yours.
Paid Android Apps Currently on Sale
Without much ado, let’s check out the list of 5 popular paid apps and games on sale at the moment.
1. Nova Launcher Prime
What’s older and greater than this one really? Usually, it is the free apps on the Play Store that are more popular. Nova Launcher Prime is almost everyone’s favorite Android Launcher despite being a paid app and that is saying something. Paired with a few other paid apps Nova Launcher Prime offers an unmatched level of customization. Sure there are more customizable launchers out there but that generally impacts the user experience. That’s not the case here. There isn’t a lot to say about Nova that hasn’t been said before.
[googleplay url=”https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher”/]Even if you haven’t yet bought Nova Launcher Prime there is a pretty good chance that you did try the free version. Nova Launcher goes on sale quite a lot and it is that time of the year again when Tesla Coil is offering their best product for a minimal price of $0.99 orย โน10. Just go ahead and buy it already and you won’t regret it. Nova Launcher Prime is simply a key that unlocks all of the features on Nova Launcher so you will need to install the original Nova Launcher app as well.
2. PlayerPro Music Player
It’s a possibility that you’ve never heard of PlayerPro Music Player. But if you’ve looked around for the best music player on Android, it’s a name you will be familiar with. PlayerPro is right up there with Poweramp and is of the same age, way before Material Design was a thing. That you can probably tell from the screenshots. But thanks to the custom skins available for PlayerPro the developer didn’t really have to do anything to update the app’s looks. Once you install the app you can make it look how you want it to look using the several PlayerPro skins available on the Play Store.
Apart from the looks though, PlayerPro has about everything you can ask for in a music player. For instance, you can customize the layout, find and apply album artwork,ย artist/composer pictures, and genre illustrations from a variety of sources. These sources include the ID3 tags, your device’s storage, and the Internet. It also lets you view or edit the embedded lyrics. If you’re really particular about the sound output PlayerPro offers a great level of audio control but you can also install an additional DSP pack from the Play Store for even more control. This thing in an audiophile’s dream.
Listing all of its features will really take a long time. If you’re interested you can take a look at the app’s Play Store page where it is currently on sale for $1.99 (โน34). It’s normally priced at $3.99 orย โน68.
3. Root Explorer
[googleplay url=”https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer”/]Like Nova Launcher, Root Explorer is also a really popular app but most people haven’t found a reason to buy the Pro version. Unlike Nova Launcher the free version of Root Explorer does not lock features. But of late the free version of the app has become more of a nuance than a really useful app. From unwanted battery savers to storage optimizers the app is a bloated piece of …. well, you know.
That is why many of its earlier users have migrated to other apps that have risen up to fill the void left behind. But having used Root Explorer for long its PC like folder icons just seem more natural to me. If you don’t want to switch to another app but would also like to get rid of all the crap included in the free version of Root Explorer, the pro version is the way to go. It offers all the actual file manager features you’d want while leaving out unnecessary features.
Root Explorer is normally priced quite steep at $2.99 (โน190). But it is currently on sale for $0.99 (โน15).

4. Riptide GP2
[googleplay url=”https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vectorunit.red”/]Riptide GP is a series that you could call the Asphalt of water bike racing. The first game was quite popular despite being a paid game and the second iteration of the game isn’t very different in that aspect. If you don’t like mobile games or just racing games, in general, this game isn’t going to convert you to the dark side. But Riptide GP2 is a graphics-intensive and fun game that is sure to keep you busy for several hours.
You can play online with other players, challenge your friends or play a career mode. What I like best about it is that since you’ve already made a payment to buy the game it does not bother you with pesky ads and loot chest or gems and crystals and other kinds of money looting mechanisms. The game being super fun helps too. The developers even promise to give users a full refund if you encounter problems that can’t be fixed by them. It usually sells for $1.99 (โน130) but right now you can get it for as low as $0.99 (โน65).
If you like it, Riptide GP: Renegade is on sale as well for $0.99 (โน65) down from the usual $2.99 (โน200).
5. Assassin’s Creed Identity
[googleplay url=”https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.assassinscreed.identity”/]Assassin’s Creed Identity isn’t exactly as old as the others above but it did launch last year, so it is quite old. AC Identity is the first time an Assassin’s Creed game on mobile featured similar mechanics and gameplay as the console and PC versions of the game. Naturally, the game is heavy on graphics but even though it looks great don’t expect console-level visuals. You can get the game for as low as $0.99 (โน30) now and maybe anytime later either since the price cut seems to be permanent for this one.
