The Galaxy Premier GT-I9260, a mid-range smartphone from Samsung, was launched with Android 4.0.4. It was later upgraded to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware, November 23 last year to be correct. Samsung has now started the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware roll out for the phone. The Galaxy Premier users in Russia and Taiwan are the first ones to get the new update on their phone and they can download it via Kies or the on-device software update feature from Settings> About.
The Android 4.1.2 firmware update will be rolled out in phases and will be available to the users depending on country and region. If you do not belong to any of said countries, you can still enjoy the new update on your phone. These firmwares are for unbranded/international version of the the Galay Premier and therefore can be installed on any device that is not locked to a network.
