We already had it coming for Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 & Nexus 10, but Nexus 4 has joined the lineup too. After a few hours from confirmation of 4.2.2 update for the 3 Nexus devices, we got some news for the same update being pushed to Nexus 4 too.
Here we are to Instruct you to Install the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 build JDQ39 on the Nexus 4 using ADB commands i.e manual flashing. You can grab the same update Over-The-Air by simply going toย Settings > About > Check Now for Update.ย Unfortunately, if you couldn’t perform the update using this option, you shall follow this guide and within a few clicks and commands, you will have your Nexus 4ย updated.

- Do not try this procedure on any other device except the Nexus 4

Prerequisites
- Android SDK Installed
- USB cable and USB drivers [LINK]
- Backup Device Storage, Text Messages, Contacts, Calender & Organizer
- Battery level above 60%
- Enable USB debugging. Go toย Settingsย >ย Developer Optionsย and enableย USB Debugging.
Installations Instructions
- Download JellyBean 4.2.2 OTA update [Google Server link]
- Connect your Nexus 4 to PC via USB data cable
- Open the folder where the OTA update package was downloaded. Pressย Shift Keyย andย Right Clickย on an empty space, selectย Open Command Prompt Here.ย Type:
adb reboot recovery
- You shall see the screen with exclamation mark, don’t worry, nothing is wrong. You’re at the right place.
- Press Volume Up + Power buttons altogether to boot into stock recovery mode. Select Apply update from ADB
- Install the update package. Type:
adb sideloadย de8b8d101614.signed-occam-JDQ39-from-JOP40D.de8b8d10.zip
- Hold a while back and do not mess with the device.
- Once flashed, reboot the device.

If you are talking about 4.1.2, it has already there for more than a month ago. Well I o not think Samsung is going to roll out 4.2 update any sooner. Just be hopeful.
