There is no scarcity of note-taking apps at the Play Store. We already have beautiful apps like Evernote and Any.DO and now we have another new arrival – this time from Google. The Google Keep Note-Taking app has been finally launched and is available at the Play Store since yesterday. It is a new note-taking phone and online based service that includes the ability to add photos and a color stripe to the header of each task grouping. You can jot down your notes, list, record a voice reminder and even attach an image captured with a camera.
Another nice aspect of the app is that you can keep track and access all your notes on all your devices, whether it be a mobile phone, tablet or desktop. You can access yourย notes from anywhere as they are safely stored on the web at Google Drive.ย The app looks pretty simple to use. Just launch Google Keep, tap on the type of note you want to take, add a color base for the note tiles and done.
Among key features of the Google Keep app include:
- Take notes, lists, and photos
- Voice notes are ย transcribed automatically
- Two home screen widgets to show the notes and add new
- Swipe to archive things you no longer need
- Turn a note into a checklist by adding checkboxes
The Google Keep Note-Taking app for Android looks impressively simple and useful but it also feels a bit premature. When I tried to record a voice note it gave force close error several times. However, we just hope that it will be fixed in the upcoming updates. I would recommend you to give this app a try.
